Responsibilities:
- Researching potential legal theories and arguments
- Drafting complaints, motions, briefs, and other documents
- Assisting in all aspects of discovery from drafting requests to document collection and production to deposition preparation and support
- Communicating (verbally and in writing) with clients and opposing counsel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to a state bar; bonus if California or Florida
- 3 to 7 years of experience at an AmLaw 200 Firm
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Some experience with discovery (drafting or responding to requests, document collection and review)
- Preferable if someone has gained experience in representing plaintiffs on class action matters
Sterlington is a full-service law firm that combines legal and commercial excellence with modern ways of practicing.
