Sterlington is pleased to announce the expansion of its Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Intellectual Property practices with the addition of Cody Wamsley as a partner.

NEW YORK; August 30, 2023 – Sterlington is pleased to announce the expansion of its Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Intellectual Property practices with the addition of Cody Wamsley as a partner.

Prior to joining Sterlington, Cody served in senior in-house roles at leading global institutions including Associate General Counsel at Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the U.S., where he counseled the enterprise on security and privacy issues for Web3 fintech applications.  He also held the roles of Senior Privacy & Security Counsel at Oracle, IT Risk & Information Security Manager at American Express, and Information Security & Privacy Secondee at 3M.  Prior to his in-house career, Cody worked to expand Dorsey & Whitney’s international Cybersecurity & Privacy practice.  Cody, a registered patent attorney, brings technical expertise to assist clients with global data security and privacy issues, provide counsel on technology transactions, and help clients bring new technologies to the market.

Cody earned an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from the George Washington University Law School and his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law with a Media, Law, and Policy Certificate.  He received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
