Read more about the highlights and key takeaways from this year's events.
Springtime in New York City brought more than just warmer days – it was the perfect setting for the Sterlington team’s annual Spring Partner Event.
The three-day event started with introductions and a welcome reception on a beautiful New York hotel terrace. Colleagues enjoyed drinks and conversation, setting the stage for two days of engaging conversations, strategic planning, and shared experiences. Those who arrived in the days leading up to the event took the opportunity to work from the firm’s breathtaking One World Trade Center office.
Day two was a mix of professional development and strategic brainstorming. The team gathered for updated corporate headshots, followed by in-depth discussions on practice group updates, business development initiatives, the growing impact of AI on the practice of law, and the Sterlington brand.
Throughout the event, the overarching theme of “Collaboration and Culture” resonated in every conversation. It reminded the team of Sterlington’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community, where diverse talents and perspectives come together to achieve shared goals.
Birthday Surprises, Axe Throwing, and Team Bonding
But Sterlington isn’t just about work. There was a surprise birthday cake for partner Jamil French, and friendly competition between some associates at an axe-throwing tournament. We’ll keep the scores confidential, but suffice it to say, there’s some hidden talent in our midst!
The team enjoyed a lively dinner at the iconic Tribeca Grill. It was a chance for everyone to unwind, share stories, and celebrate the blend of expertise and personality that makes Sterlington a dynamic and rewarding place to work. The evening took a spontaneous turn as some of our more daring colleagues led an impromptu karaoke session.
Collaboration and Looking Ahead
Commenting on the event, Chris Harrison, Sterlington’s founding partner, said:
“The team has grown significantly over the past year and seeing everyone come together, sharing ideas, and making connections has been great. The energy and enthusiasm reminded me that Sterlington’s success is built on the values that this event highlighted: collaboration, innovation and the caliber of the lawyers in the room.”
As this year’s spring event drew to a close, it was clear that the time spent together had strengthened connections, sparked new ideas, and reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and a culture that values both legal excellence and professional growth. Planning has already commenced for Spring 2025!
