Who’s Who Legal Recognizes Callum McNeil in 2024 Asset Recovery Edition
Callum McNeil, Sterlington BVI Managing Partner, is recognized by Who's Who Legal as a leading professional in Asset Recovery in Mainland China and Hong Kong. With nearly two decades of offshore legal experience, Callum specializes in crypto, commercial litigation, and insolvency matters.
Callum McNeil, Sterlington BVI Managing Partner, has again been selected by Who’s Who Legal (WWL) as a leading professional in Asset Recovery.
WWL: Asset Recovery recognizes the foremost asset recovery lawyers and experts from both onshore and offshore jurisdictions. Those individuals identified rank highly thanks to their market-leading expertise in the tracing and recovering of lost, misappropriated, or stolen assets.
Nominees are selected based on comprehensive, independent survey work with both general counsel and private practitioners worldwide. Only specialists who have met independent international research criteria are recommended.
Callum has nearly two decades of offshore legal experience, including working in the Cayman Islands and Guernsey. His practice focuses on crypto, commercial litigation, and insolvency matters in the BVI, often with cross-border elements. Callum’s expertise as a highly skilled litigator and advocate extends to digital assets, corporate shareholder disputes, contentious investment fund and trust disputes, and cross-border insolvency matters.
Notably, Callum and his team recently obtained a favorable judgment in a landmark case, successfully enforcing a US judgment against a BVI company. The court ruled in favor of Cashman, a US company, allowing them to recover assets, including a barge, from EMCS, a BVI company, for unpaid debts. This ruling reinforced confidence in judgment creditors seeking to enforce against BVI-domiciled debtors or debtors with assets in the jurisdiction.
Congratulations to Callum on this well-deserved recognition!
