Ivy Dodes is an experienced corporate and investment management lawyer. Throughout her career, Ivy held several key leadership positions, including her 25 years at Credit Suisse Asset Management where she was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of its Customized Funds Investment Group and General Counsel of the Private Equity Group. As part of her responsibilities, Ivy oversaw the formation, placement, and operation of the private equity funds and direct investment portfolio and placement business, and managed complex acquisitions, joint ventures, spinouts, and over $10 billion of divestitures of funds and PE businesses. She was also integral in leading many strategic sales and spin-offs of multiple asset management businesses as well overseeing fund structuring, employee plans, and product development. She retired from Credit Suisse in 2018 after a long career beginning with the 2000 merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where she worked for nearly a decade as Assistant General Counsel to DLJ’s Investment Banking group, including DLJ’s Merchant Banking Group and Private Fund Group. Ivy’s legal career began as a corporate associate at Fulbright & Jaworski, now Norton Rose Fulbright. She earned her J.D. and graduated with honors and 4th in her class while serving as Law Review Editor at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Queens College. In addition to her legal career, Ivy is dedicated to promoting the employment of military spouse attorneys by developing collaborative solutions with businesses.
