Lisa Jerde Spillman

Based out of Wyoming and also licensed in California, Lisa Jerde Spillman is a partner focusing on investment management, regulatory matters, business creation and support, and crypto and digital assets. She is a Board member of a regulated Crypto trading company, and a Fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel. Before joining Sterlington, Lisa served as General Counsel for the State Treasurer's Office of Wyoming which manages over $25 billion in assets, where Lisa was responsible for writing and negotiating investment contracts. Lisa also served as Senior Assistant Attorney General in Wyoming and practiced for 10 years before that in California. With over 20 years of legal experience in the private and government sectors, Lisa’s experience spans the investment arena, setting up corporate structures, helping clients navigate regulatory and compliance reviews, and advocating on behalf of clients with government agencies and the Legislature. She has worked for three federal judges and argued 46 appeals. Lisa holds a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Chapman University Fowler School of Law, a Master of Finance from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
